Oh, yeah... I forgot about that. Oops. But I do not understand something: why does it take so long to upgrade CE versions? I have not seen any adaptation of CE itself--stored on the KS System disk are everything from unused programs to .gif images that no BN can use. This indicates (perhaps wrongly) that CE is not touched, rather the KeySoft version that runs on top of it. If this is true, why does it take years to move to a new version of CE? Don't get me wrong--I love my mPower and cannot wait until it comes back (I accidently snapped the USB slave port off the motherboard). I just want to know.

Alex

P.S. Does anyone know what a PCB board is? That was the delay in my BN--they had to wait for one to be delivered before they could fix my unit. Is a PCB my motherboard? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joseph Lee" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Alex,
A general reminder: at this point, Windows CE 4.2 does not support 802.11G
standard (802.11N is being standardized). In order to view the security
setting, another operating system upgrade must be preformed (probably for
about 2 to 3 years from now) to allow BrailleNotes to see WPA encryption,
plus support for 802.11G.

ConnectionSelection)

That would be so great! I wish that SPACE with I on a network could give the
name, signal strength, security status, type, and maybe even the type of
router (a, b, g, pre-n... Why not?). Why do we have to connect to a network
before we realize it is too weak to use?

Also, when scanning for networks, we need to know if it has security. It
could say secure or nonsecure out beside it.

Subject: [Braillenote] Suggestion for Connection Selection

Hi,
I don't know if anyone's suggested this, but here it is anyway. As I
mentioned in my previous post, I've been using Keyweb a lot, so I need to

select which configuration to use. I could type the configuration name
at the prompt, but when I cursor down through the list of available
configurations, there's no way to select by first letter navigation.
This seems to me to be inconsistent with the way other selection lists
behave in Keysoft. Why was it designed this way, and is there a chance
that that could be remedied? I have a number of configurations for
different situations and I really like the idea of being able to move
straight to a configuration name by typing its first letter. Thoughts,
anybody?

Tom
