Hi Vicky,
Yes I do remember that mesage and I guess I'd better call Humanware on Monday.

Hi john,
Were you on the list when Jonathan sent the email about the battery problem
in some of the mPower units? If you missed it, I'll paste the link to the
message from the list archives below. Not being sure whom to call in this
case, I called customer service about this issue as well as some others, and
they referred me to tech support for the battery problem. Mine does the
same as yours, drops quite rapidly at eight percent, often only giving me
thirty seconds or so before it dies completely. So, after talking with tech
support, they put my name on the list to be called to return my unit to HW
for the battery fix. Now, here is the link to the message:

Subject: [Braillenote] definitely something wrong with the battery
Hi,
I'm running the mPower with Keysoft 7.0.
Just now I was taking down information from my transportation
provider for next week's work schedule.
My mPower said I had 8% left on my battery but that it was critical.
During that five minute conversation, it shut down as it usually
would do if the battery had gone flat.
I should not loose 8% in five minutes.
My gauge consistently says accurate.
Humanware, do you know what is causing these problemds and how to fix them?
Since I can't read email lists while at work, I'll look forward to
some response when I get home tonight.
Thanks!
John
