Hi Robert,
Since I am going to upgrade an mPower in the morning, I have one other thought.
Have you tried a simple re-set first? Or, even a s,d,f re-set?
I think sometimes the mPower doesn't really recognize the SD card until after a standard re-set. Even though, or especially, because it recognized it long enough to install the 7.2 key. I know it shouldn't matter, but since nothing else has worked, try it--and let me/us know if it makes any difference.

Hello,
We have done that now, twice. I thought of this myself, but it was a good thought though.

I'd prepare the card for upgrade again, then try again to run the
upgrade
process. Dar and I upgraded without a hitch! I noticed the
percentages
went down in my unit, up to seven percent before my unit did a
reset and 7.2
came up. I also noticed didn't need the eboot.bin or eboot.zip
files which
were once on my card. I'm pleased. It will probably take me a
while to
figure out everything but the file manager seems to work very
well!

Ok folks and I know there are a lot on here who know more about
this than
me. In any case..

1. prepared sd for installation.
2. installed successfully my key.
3. downloaded the proper bin file and loaded on sd card.
4. as per instructions pressed dots 4 and 5 along with reset.
5. tones started.
4. no matter what I do I always get an sd card error.

I do not believe that the sd card is in fact at fault. it
worked fine to
install the key and when I did the prepare. I have used it for
earlier
version upgrades as well and it is a dedicated card.

any insight would be most welcome.
