Hi Paul,
I think those are great ideas.

Subject: [Braillenote] Suggestions for better mail in the next
keysoft
Hi listers. I think that HW could do two things that would make
downloading
and reading large amounts of email work very well.
This wouldn't necessitate a rewrite of keymail, just two
utilities.
1. Create a utility that would sort mail either ascending or
descending. It
is well known that with large amounts of email, deleting from the
front of
the list of messages can be very slow; whereas deleting from the
back is
quite fast.
What if we could sort email from newest to oldest? Then, one
could move to
the end of messages where the oldest would start and work
backwards with
quicker deletions.
2. Create a program that one could run after email was already
downloaded
that would filter email based on criteria that the user sets up.
The user would set up message strings i.e. messages to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
would be moved to the my mail folder.
Messages to the braillenote list would be moved to the braille
note folder.
The filter would work just like any other to where a user could
base the
move on the two, from or subject fields.
The program would be run after mail was downloaded.
The user could use either of these programs if he or she liked,
but if not,
keymail would remain unchanged.
What do you think?
