I was not saying that we should use one over the other, I just
thought I had heard that they were going to install keychat so
that it could be used either way.
That is what I had heard, but if it is one or the other, I would
definately say, that text should be used.

Voice over IP uses more CPU power and memory than text chat.
And,
considering the fact that we have some deaf blind users lke
kathleen, it is
more appropreiate that we use Text chats more than VOIP.

I was under the impression, that it would support both.
My understanding is that if you want voice chat, you would either
need a
external microphone, or you could use the built in microphone in
the
braillenote.
If you wanted text, it would come across the braille display.
I might be wrong on this, but this is what my impression is.
