Canned air is what you use on most computer equipment. However, do not
use it on embossers. I was instructor by the manufacturer of my
embosser not to use it on the embosser because it blows dust up into the
machine.

It is probably okay on your braille display but I'm not certain how much
it will get off. Canned air primarily moves loose dust that has settled
in your keyboard or hard drive. With a display, your hands naturally
have body grease that will help keep the dirt in place and allows it to
cause the pins to stick. You could probably try the canned air and see
if it helps any, but I theorize (I do not know for certain) that it will
still need the damp cloth to help remove build up. The only way to
prevent naturally occuring body grease buildup would be to wash your
hands every fifteen minutes at least. Therefore, anyone that says they
never use dirty hands on their display, is probably not true. If they
scratched their arm, rubbed an eye, or simply rested their chin on their
hand would cause them to have body residue that could potentially get in
their display.
