Hello Drew,
Some of those little packaged wipes have alcohol in them and Humanware says that alcohol should not be used on the display.

Jose,
what I have found handy, is instead of using a damp cloth, you
can buy a
package of small individually rapped wipes. These wipes usually
don't have
much moisture in them, and are great to have in you pocket or BN
case. I
hope this helps.

Jose,
To clean the braille display:
1. Turn off your BrailleNote.
2. Use a soft damp cloth (any moisture must be removed) and
gentaly run it
down the length of the braile display.
3. This time, run it once more, but move it towards opposite
dirction and
make sure that you run it on top of display and touch cursor.

Make sure you turn it of because if there is moisture on the
cloth, the
water will make the electronic components unusable.

Hello; Kathleen, Yes I have experienced this. I don't know if
my display
needs cleaning. My MPower is new not a transplant. This goes
to the
list.
How could I clean my braille display? Please write back.
Jose Lomeli. Long Beach California.

Hello everyone, this is KC Spear.

As some of you know, when using my BN M-Power, I rely entirely on
braille. I know some of you use both braille and speech.
Logically, you don't use your braille display for reading and
editing
as much as I do.
My point is that, with the BN Classic, I only had to ask for
1-cell
replacemnt. That was done in 2005, when I sent the BN in
for a "Transplant." I'm going to need to send the M-Power
back, because several cells are missing dots. Has anyone else
experienced a problem with the M-Power cells? (I admit to being
surprised, because I understood these cells are supposedly better
than
the ones in the Classic.) KC
