Hi Diane,
That wouldn't solve the problem that people such as Evelyn are
having where you're taking notes and text is suddenly inserted
where you don't want it. With the append mode that she and I are
talking about, you would be able to tell the unit to be in that
mode and everything you wrote no matter where your cursor was
would be placed at the end of the file.
I really hope hw will add this feature.

Hi, List!
What about the Append feature in the Block Commands Menu?
Couldn't you use that for appending information in a file?

Evelyn,
It was 1998 revision that PC Edit mode came
in. KeyWord behaves much like Microsoft Word
(except that it does not have ovr switch
(override mode is not present). On the QT
the same command can be accomplished with Del
(I'm not sure whether it works or not).

Hi, Rhonda,
Well, the old Braille Lites, etc. had a
continuous overwrite command.
Sometimes that is handy just as I still want
an append mode.

Hello Flor:
I am not sure why an overwrite command would
be used. You can use
Ctrl comma to delete a character, and then
put the right letter back
in. That's about the best way I know to do
it.

Rhonda Clark
