That's interesting but I can't put this document back on the pc once I have
written on the Braille Note with it.

Have you tried doing a reset? If a regular reset, the reset
button only doesn't clear the lock, try a 4-5-6 (J-K-L) reset or
an engineer's reset.
Sounds like the system has lost track of who is using the file.
