Dear Jason,
Stop the recalibration and check the following switches: T: If the temperature is too high, then you should unplug the charger for five minutes. After five minutes, reconnect the charger. It should start charging again. V: Again, if the battery voltage is too high, there might be a good chance that the input voltage is high than normal. C: This is the value that you should have checked. Make note of this value. D: This should give you the current dischare value. Compare these two values (omit the designed capacity, but the first value that is presented after hitting D). If it is same as C value, then it is fine. If it is different, then it is time for you to have battery replacement. Also, if it does not seem to improve the situation, try Service Reset with Reset plus Record. Be aware that you have to reset the date, time and so on.
HTH,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] Inaccurate charge info

I'm having serious issues with my BN Mpower
keeping an accurate percentage
count on my battery lately. For example, I
was busy typing up a document
today. I paused for a moment to check my
battery charge status, and my BN
claimed there was 13% remaining. Less then
five minutes later though, it
announced battery low. But by the time I
could get my BN plugged in (barely
10 seconds after the first battery low
announcement), my BN had turned
itself off. Once Keysoft 7.2 restarted, I
hurried up and removed all cards
from my BN and turned it off to more quickly
charge. When I returned 3 hours
later and checked the battery gauge, my BN
reported 80% charged, but when I
went to support information mode and checked
charge status, it replied
trickle charging. I checked the gauge
accuracy, and it came back with
accurate, plus or minus 2 percent. So I
turned it back off and left it to
charge for another hour, before I came back
and rechecked all these stats.
None had changed, so I decided to try a
recalibration of the battery. But
when I came back another hour later and hit
spacebar to see how far in the
recalibration process it'd reached, I was
told that it was still charging
the battery. What in the world is going on
here, and how do I straighten out
this problem?

Those who trade liberty for security have
neither.
