The big advantage of buying an SMA is it gives you two paid-for upgrades for the price of one. However you must purchase your SMA before the paid-for upgrade is released for the SMA to be used for that upgrade. Most SMA being sold now are for you to download the product key and upgrade file yourself from the Humanware web site. This is the fastest way to take delivery of an upgrade especially if you have high speed Internet. However even if you have dial-up, the several hours it takes to download the upgrade beats the several days it takes for the postman to bring you an SD card with the files on it.
