Hi,
I find the PK the best for portability. I have access to all the note
takers because of my job. But, for me personally, the size of the PK
out-weighs some of the features you give up.
Having said that though, as a student, you may find the mPower more useful
in many situations. For example, if you have an assignment for a teacher,
and you have a thumb drive, you can save it as a Word document on that thumb
drive, hand the thumb drive to the teacher and they can copy it onto their
computer.
It isn't as easy to find people with a CF card reader, but all computers
these days have usb ports.
Also, you can stream audio on the mpower, but you cannot on the PK. If you
need to listen to something over the internet for school, for example.

Or, if you need to print something and you aren't at a computer, the mPower
will print to USB or serial, or Bluetooth or even infa-red enabled printers.
The mPower has more internal memory and is a tad bit faster at downloading
e-mail and such.

But, the PK is great because of the size. Much easier to carry around.

It does pretty much everything else.

I know you didn't direct your question to me, but I thought you wouldn't
mind another voice on this subject.
The best thing is if you can get some hands on time to see which you like
best.

Good luck,
Richard

Hi Hope,

Welcome to the list!

Are there any specific questions you would like us to try and answer to
help
you in making your decision? I'm sure there will be lots of folks on
the
list, including myself, who will be happy to try and help.

I'm fortunate enough to be working, and thus have both a PK and an
mPower.
And, while I do use both, when I'm out and about, I primarily use the PK
due
to its smaller size and weight, thus making it a much more portable
device.

Hi. My name is Hope, and I joined this list to find out more about the
bn (either the pk or m-power). I'm in the process of getting one and I
need to figure out which one I'd like. Alex parks spoke about this
list, so I decided to join. I'm sure I'll find this list helpful, and I
look forward to gaining more knowledge about the BN.

Sincerely,

Hope and Fidelco's Beignet
