Hello,
I have read your messages, and I am wondering, if you have a braillenote that is using the newer ports, so that you have a usb port in the back, and the Juliet you have has a parallel port, then why not just go and purchase a parallel to usb cable. I use one of these cables with my hp deskjet, and it works great, so if you are interested, you can purchase this cable at Best Buy or Radio Shack.
Hth,
Robert Stigile

Dear J. T. Laurie:

OK so the problem is the techs at your school are mainly
Macintosh gurus.

What model HP printer are you trying to print on and who
configured the printer for you?

And with the Juliet embosser, you basically need the Juliet
manual as I believe you have to tell it to receive data on the
serial port and if it hasn't been told, it is probably listening
on its parallel port for data that never comes.

Brian
