Hi,
I don't know for sure if you are refering to the slide switch on the sd card but it was left in the unlocked position. I have read and written to this card several times.

Nikki,
Did you positioned the Read-only switch so that the card can e
read?

Hi,

As far as I can tell, I have done all these things correctly. My
card is
the right size and the file is on the card in the root directory.
I don't
understand why I getting an sd card error. I have not had any
trouble with
the card until now. Thanks for trying to help.

Sincerely,
Nikki B

It sounds like you have:
1. have an SD card either too big or too small; the size is
between
64mb and 512mb.
2. not formatted your SD card correctly. Insert the SD card, go
to
Utilities > application program. Select the KeySoft system disk,
then
the Windows folder (or directory--if the BN asks for a directory,
select Windows and press ENTER twice). Now select "prepare SD
card for
upgrade" from the list. Press ENTER at the "Command line?" prompt
(if
there is one), and follow the prompts.
3. the nk.bin file is in the wrong place. Ensure it is simply
called
"nk.bin" and is just on the card--not in any folders or anything.
Obviously, you must put this file on the card after preparing it
for
upgrade.

You have probably done all of this, but there is my proposal as
to a
solution. Good luck, and sorry you are having trouble.

Have a great day,
Alex

Hello again,

Well, today is just not my day I guess. (grin) I am just now
starting
to feel comfortable enough with my new BN to try to upgrade to
build
47. I have followed all the instructions precisely and I am
getting
an error message on my braille display when I do the restart with
J
and K held down. It says "SD card error." Can anyone tell me
what I
am doing wrong please Thank you all.

Sincerely,
Nikki B.
