Hi Joleen, Ronda and KC,

I appreciate your good wishes. Well, in this case, it was over my shoulder,
and I suspect that was advantageous, as I didn't land directly on the unit.
Everything was a blur, but I think it rolled off my shoulder when I fell. I
do appreciate the suggestion; I posed for others to think about, as I know
I'm not the first to take a tumble. I'm grateful as I know it could have
been much worse than it was. Lots of cuts, scrapes and some stitches, but
no broken bones. My dog and I got to ride in an ambulance for the first
time, always willing to try anything once, just don't want any repeats here.
Well, I've been saying I wanted a couple of days off from work. I didn't
plan to get them this way!

Les

Hi,
I have also had some falls with mine and have dropped it. It comes out
without injury and I have also been lucky (without personal injury).

Here is a suggestion for keeping it from falling off your lap. I used a
Braille'n Speak for many years and still have the strap.
I like using it because it is more narrow than the BN strap. I strap the BN
around my waist loosly so that I can reach the keys easily. I can also use
it while I am standing with it fastened around my waist. For me, a strap
around my neck is a big problem due to a previous neck injury. Any
adjustable strap with a clip on either end would work for this.

Joleen
