Hi Les, I hope your okay. Well I'm glad that your BrailleNote is
okay. Yes I know falling down is so! so! so! hertful and so
embarrasing when people see you fall down. Please be careful and
be safe. Well write back.

Hi Lez,
I'm glad you're not seriously hurt. Glad to know you'll be ok.
How did the dog do in the ambulance? When I was at GEB in June
that wasn't something we got to try, ha ha. I don't think that's
on their on the training schedule.
Seriously glad you're not hurt worse.

Hi Joleen, Ronda and KC,
I appreciate your good wishes. Well, in this case, it was over
my shoulder,
and I suspect that was advantageous, as I didn't land directly on
the unit.
Everything was a blur, but I think it rolled off my shoulder when
I fell. I
do appreciate the suggestion; I posed for others to think about,
as I know
I'm not the first to take a tumble. I'm grateful as I know it
could have
been much worse than it was. Lots of cuts, scrapes and some
stitches, but
no broken bones. My dog and I got to ride in an ambulance for
the first
time, always willing to try anything once, just don't want any
repeats here.
Well, I've been saying I wanted a couple of days off from work.
I didn't
plan to get them this way!
Les

Hi,
I have also had some falls with mine and have dropped it. It
comes out
without injury and I have also been lucky (without personal
injury).
Here is a suggestion for keeping it from falling off your lap. I
used a
Braille'n Speak for many years and still have the strap.
I like using it because it is more narrow than the BN strap. I
strap the BN
around my waist loosly so that I can reach the keys easily. I
can also use
it while I am standing with it fastened around my waist. For me,
a strap
around my neck is a big problem due to a previous neck injury.
Any
adjustable strap with a clip on either end would work for this.

Second,I agree bout the Bn case. I've had the occasion of

when a train or plane did some acrobatics!
