Hi Joseph and others. Pardon my ignorance but what is Gmail and how is it different to ordinary emailing?

I have used Gmail with the pop server and it worked. Setting the SMTP server to another one will allow the email client to send using Gmail account because it is not going through SSL authentication. In regard to current situation with Gmail: there are two possible options. First is to use an alternative SMTP server, and second is to implement SSL/TLS support into KeyMail. Windows CE kernel does support SSL/TLS connection, which is an easy way to implement it via KeyMail (KeyWeb already supports SSL/TLS). For now, until SSL is implemented in KeyMail, the only way to go is to use alternative SMTP server.
