Hi Jose. I heard of this on the vip-l list. When you say GMAIL is like
and ISP, does it just off email services or internet as well? I am
currently with Telstra BigPond broadband and find it a bit costly, but
wouldn't want to swap unless I saw had some good reasons. After all,
even if I joined up for email with GMAIL, I'd still have to pay for my
broadband connection and downloads. Isn't that right?

I have been following this discussion but still need some clarification
on other things too because I don't understand the internet that well.
I currently have ADSL broadband at home. I have the wireless router
(that little square box with all the connections) and a wireless card
for my BN. What would be necessary for me to access email and the
Internet outside of home? A lot of the stuff that Syndi and the others
wrote about is still going off my head.

As may have said the other day, I can't access the internet at TAFE
because of their lack of phone line connections and high security.

If some real knowledgeable person wants to email me off-list, to save
the same old stuff being rehashed again and boring the blazers out of
you all, please email me at
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

I think I put the wrong address last time but this should definitely
work.

Cheers!

Michele

No Michele, Gmail is like an Isp. But its free and its offered
by google. That's why its called Gmail. Actually I never heard
of e-mailing google instead of doing a search. Where did you
find that out? Where did you here that? Write back.
