pnplug it while it discharges and then plug it back in when it goes flat.

Initial charge took 3 hours, 23 minutes. Calibration discharge started at
1:35 a.m. and has been discharging for 7 hours, 8 minutes. It's now
giving battery critical messages, so I expect it to start charging again
soon.
