Hi Funguy;
If Keith is moving his Braille display while recording, it sounds to me
like he is trying to read his notes and also record his lecture at the
same time. I do not know if this can even be done. If this is not
correct, then what does he mean about moving the Braille display. If he
is just recording, there should not even be any use of the display.

Hay Keith:

I don't mean to sound insulting, but why use the bn for a recorder when
it
is such a better telaprompter! I mean that when I give talks (about 3
times
a week) I use my bn for my notes. It's terrific! I can make changes up
to
the last minute, I can write things down in a separate file or at the
end of
my file and use place markers to jump where ever I might need to go, and
I
never loos my place if I take my hands off the display to gesture or
anything else.
I don't mean to have you feel that I'm putting your idea down, but if I
wanted to record my talk I'd use a cheeper piece of technology like a
plextalk or something for recording to leave my bn free to be my
telaprompter.
Just one guys view!
Alan

Subject: [Braillenote] Question About Recording

I am a public speaker and am wondering if it is feasible to use the BN
mPower to record my 30-minute sermons. I know it is designed for memos
but
am wondering how much battery power and memory would be taken to do
this.
The plan would be to immediately transfer the sermons to a web site so
they
wouldn't permanently occupy much space.

Also, I read where an Electoret microphone needs to be used? As I am
new to
recording, is this a brand or some type of microphone?

Thanks for any help you can give.
