Oh. Speaking of updates, I'm on version 6.1 and am about to get 7.2. Do I
have to pay the $195 for 7.0, then pay another $195 for 7.2? Thanks.

Subject: [Braillenote] Software update question
Hi everyone,
Since I just got my BN last October, I am not familiar with Humanware's
regular schedule when they update their software. I think 7.2 was the new
update released last year wasn't it? What time of the year does HW
normally release their update? I want to get the SMA before the new 8.0
comes out but have been having to update other things too so have not yet
purchased the SMA for my BN. It looks to me like these access technology
companies would try to work with us and let us know
when to expect the software updates to come out so we can get the SMA if
at all possible. It would be a win-win situation for everyone in my
opinion. I just had to pay extra for my JAWS update because I didn't
purchase the SMA in time and 8.0 had just been released a few days before
I called the company to order my SMA. For as much as we pay for these
devices and programs, you would think the focus on customer support would
be stronger. I am not complaining about HW here as I really have had no
dealings with them for customer support yet but I don't think they need to
keep their software release date such a big secret. Maybe I just don't
know where to look for that information.
Sorry this was so long.
Sincerely,
Nikki B.
