Hi,
I have not experienced this problem--I always leave a file that I
have changed with <space>e--as others have mentioned.
However, I thought I remembered somewhere 1-2-3-4-5-6 chord
should get you back to the main menu.
I have checked all books in Manual and couldn't find it anywhere.
(Didn't check games or the appendices).
Does anyone out there know whether this is a discontinued
feature?
Those files where you have lots data.
Is there anything in common?
Were they all similar size?
All from the same source?
All the same type?
Were the changes similar?
From what you said, it sounds like the data was immediately lost.
Did you reenter the files very shortly after and found the data
gone?
Was it always similar data gone--i.e., all data before change,
all after, all except, ...?
Does it always happen--what's different when it doesn't?
I suppose it's not just that the battery has been allowed to run
out and the data is missing after that?
Regards,
Steve.

Subject: [Braillenote] Losing Files on the BrailleNote mPower
When I open a file in Keyword and make even a small change in the
text, and then leave the file with the space plus dots
1-2-3-4-5-6 chord to go to the main menu, there is a long pause,
and when the main menu is identified, all the text in the changed
file has disappeared never to be recovered. This has happened
several times recently, and I am asking if anyone else has
experienced this, and if there is a procedure to ensure it does
not happen. Some of the lost material has been hard to replace.
I am running BT 32 mPower, Keysoft 7.2 build 47. I will be
grateful for any suggestions to prevent the loss of files in the
future. I know about backing up files, and I'm remiss about it,
but the real problem is that the loss of material happens just
after I have added something and exit directly to the main menu.
