Subject: RE: [Braillenote] Battery question
Hi Kevin:
Using your logic, we lowly users shouldn't have anything that we
can
replace the batteries in because, gosh, we might get the thing
dirty.
We users who pay through the nose for these things just can't be
trusted
to properly replace batteries. So, bye bye with the cell phones
that we
can take batteries out of, the remote controls, and every one of
the
thousands of other gadgets with a user replaceable battery.
As someone who considers himself good with my hands, I am
insulted by
this logic and I shouldn't have to send my unit back to the big
bad HW
and be without it for a couple of weeks simply to get a stupid
battery
replaced. Sure, not everyone is as able to work with their
hands, but
if batteries were user replaceable, I bet most of us could find
someone
to help us replace the battery if needed.
BTW, the Braille Sense, a Braille Note competitor does have
replaceable
batteries. Guess GW trusts its customers a little more to know
how to
replace a stinking battery or something.
