I was unable to get it also. You need to use ear phones. I don't know if
you did this or not. They told me this is just a way to listen to the
radio while taking the bus. It does not have a strong receiver.

I am not surprised that you can't get the radio to work, even in the UK.
My
husband and I are in the U.S. and we can't get it to work either.
Actually,
I haven't even tried and my husband can't even get our community college
station and we  live extremely close, I would say within a half mile or
less, to the radio station and its receiver.

Sorry but this was not one of the better add-ons in my opinion.
