Looking at products from the competition such as BrailleSense and ELba from Papenmeier upgrading to CE6 is urgently required.

From a business perspective Humanware already have a large BrailleNote client base. The equipment is expensive and buying opposition products is expensive so the existing client base is rather secure.

However, new clients might make different initial choices. MPower is lagging behind in functionality such as multi-tasking and continues to provide semi-functionality in BlueTooth and fast internet access that is hastle free.

I have been using BrailleNote for some 6 years and it has been of great use, particularly since mPower has come into use.

However, I still think the 7.2 to 7.5 upgrade for non-USA users has not really been worth it.

Please consider a spread sheet or cheque book programme.

Hi list
very interesting listening to the posts on the upgrade.
I live in the uk and feel that the upgrade is not worth it for me.
I am not sure what the cost is but I will wait to see what the future holds.
I am very busy piano tuning playing chess and living a full life so, I may have missed some emails especially concerning the future of our braille notes.
I am a pk user and note the pac mate is moving forward in October.
does anyone know about the future of our grate product?
I am very seriously considering purchasing the small talk ultra for portability and the use of windows xp. I would love to be able to stream from say the bbc with my pk but of course this cannot be done.
I work away a lot so need portability.
cheers.
the gps on the pk is the best.
