Hi, you can set your mail to delete off the server if in the
trash. How you do this is in that option instead of hitting n or
y hit i and it will say "if in the trash". I don't know why this
isn't well known but I found it by accident one time and now I
use it all the time. It is great because the messages stay on
the server until you trash them and then check your mail again.
This was great for me when my pk's flash drive kept crashing so I
never lost any mail.
Hope this helps,
from Shaz.
Bn classic and Pk user.

Hi Carol,
There is no message filtering, including spam or duplicate
message filtering, built into the BrailleNote or VoiceNote. I do
remember a configuration menu item for eliminating duplicate
messages on the list server but that option would simply avoid
sending duplicate messages to the user in the first place. What
I
am seeing is occasional differences between the number of
messages reported in my mail box and what I actually end up with
after mail has finished downloading into my VoiceNote. I guess
the only way to determine exactly what is going on here is to
create a duplicate directory configuration for this mailbox and
set one to delete messages after getting them and another that
leaves the messages on the server. Then I could use the
configuration that leaves mail on the server until I hear the
next discrepancy and then use web mail access to check exactly
what is going up in smoke. That would be a slight hassle because
I would have to use the other configuration from time to time to
clear out my mailbox and then delete the already read mail but it
is the only option I can come up with to discover the anomaly
with the disappearing mail.

Hi richard and all, I have had the same issue. I have a bn bt
7.2 built 47. I do not belong to more than one list that would
send me the same message. Does the bn have a junk mail or bulk
mail folder.

Subject: [Braillenote] mystery missing messages
I have recently noticed something weird with my incoming mail.
For example, Key Mail will report four new messages on the
server, grab them, and then say three new messages. That is
indeed all I have in the in box but looking in the trash and
other places doesn't reveal the missing message. Does anyone
have
any experience or ideas about what is going on here?
By the way, I'm still using KeySoft 7.20.
Thanks for any help.
