Strange, grin and knock on wood, but my PK seems to be behaving better these days. For, with KS 7.5 build 20, I've even advanced from downloading only fifty emails at a time, to downloading eighty some at a time. However, there is no guarantee my flash disk won't pull a similar type thing at some point; for, as you all might recall, I've had to restore that disk several times when dealing with email on my PK.
But, anyway, you might try this, as discussed on the list a few weeks back, meaning deleting the flash disk. I'll post the link to the message where Mike Gibson from HW discussed this, and then the message itself: http://list.humanware.com/archives/braillenote/2007-August/072407.html [Braillenote] A serious observation [Braillenote] A serious observation Mike Gibson mike.gibson at humanware.com Fri Aug 31 09:52:57 NZST 2007 list of 3 items . Messages sorted by: [ date ] [ thread ] [ subject ] [ author ] list end -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Chris, This has more to do with activesync than BrailleNote. If you were to attach a = standard PDA you would find a similar situation. The main PDA storage area is = listed as a folder as well.=20 Being able to delete the flashdisk is actually a very useful thing. If your = unit ever starts to act extremely strange or behaving badly deleting the = contents of the flashdisk allows a new flashdisk contents to be copied from the = ROM image. Also if you were to ever sell your unit this is always a good idea = because of personal information. In a way you are restoring the unit back to = its original state from the factory. Of course you will loose any settings or = data you have saved but it's a good idea to make a regular backup of your = flashdisk anyway. Performing this proceedure is extreme and a last resort but = it can be very effective. When you do choose to delete the flashdisk you have to confirm each file and = folder by typing yes. There is no yes to all option so it is an involved = process. You can't inadvertently delete the whole thing with one keystorke. When I view it's structure using My Computer/Windows=20 Explorer, the Flash disk (yes, the *Flash disk*) appears as a folder. Worst=20 off, we're allowed to delete this! Surely this can't be right, and that=20 Flash Disk should appear as a drive? Could this be due to a "bug" in=20 ActiveSync 3.8? I'm not intending to delete this flash disk, but just=20 curious as to why we're allowed to in the first place. Thanks in advance! I had done a backup earlier today so I restored the back up and got all my settings and stuff back however now I can't access any of my email folders. When I try and go into a email folder or see how many messages I have in one I get the message "access is denied". I have deleted the email folders.cdb and done a C3 C4 reset. I have tried restoring the back up again and I have done a C1 C4 reset a number of times but none of this has fixed the problem. So I was hoping that some one would have a suggestion to fix this? I am running keysoft 7.2 build 47. I'm not going to upgrade to 7.5 until they have fixed keysinc because I use it too much to go without it. Thanks for any help, from Shaz.
