>From researching into this myself, I have found that what Joseph said is 
indeed correct. The purpose of this ReadyBoost technology is to give a Vista 
machine that is lacking in memory just that boost that it needs in order to 
run that much more efficientley and smoothely. Not all thumb drives support 
this ReadyBoost technology so it is more a hit and miss deal, unless you 
know exactly what you are looking for. It is something that will only work 
on Vista machines and not with XP or any other Operating System. It saves 
the cost of purchasing a completely new system that has a dual-core 
processor or running out and purchasing more RAM. If you don't have a thumb 
drive that has this ReadyBoost technology or if it does have this ReadyBoost 
technology but you are using on a device other than a Vista machine, it will 
only work as a storage medium.
