I just recently had the weird vibrating of a cell, on Halloween as a matter
of fact. <grin> It stopped doing it after that, so maybe I have a ghost
residing in my unit. <grin> You might want to give it a few days or weeks,
just to see if it stops by itself, unless it's completely driving you crazy.
I can sympathize, because I hate to be without my unit, and even if they get
it back to you quickly, it seems like a long time if it's something you use
all the time. I believe a whole new display is several thousand dollars, if
I'm not mistaken.

I wrote about this in my intro message a couple of weeks ago, but it did
not go through as many of you have said, so I thought I'd ask again since
my issue hasn't resolved yet.
When I got my new M power last July, they just transplanted my old
classic's display since I was going to keep doing the 32 cell bn. Well,
in January or so, I began having problems with one of the pins in a cell
doing a strange vibrating. It almost sounds like a rattlesnake. lol
It does not happen when the display is exercised but it does it when I'm
typing and the pins are accommodating my letters, etc. Anyway, I was in
school in January so I waited till late September to get it fixed. They
replaced the cell with a new one and fixed an unrelated battery problem
and upgraded me to 7.5, and I got it back in a very short time, which I
was very impressed with. Now, after a week, it started doing it again,
but I think it's a different cell, the one right next to the one that was
damaged before. I'm not blaming anyone, because no one had any idea that
it could have happened again. I am frustrated though, because I just got
the thing back and now I have to send it in again if I want to be able to
read with my display. Thank goodness I'm not in college and I have
graduated, because I needed that display in school and it was very hard
not having it. I just keep the speech on and the braille off unless
absolutely necessary, because it drives me up the wall hearing and feeling
that weird vibrating sensation and listening to the snake rattling. lol
Is it a safe assumption that this could happen a third time if I don't ask
my agency to pay for the entire display to be replaced? I know that is
costly, but I think it would be more economical and cost-effective if we
ship it once to California, have the whole thing replaced, and ship it
back to Texas once, instead of shipping it back and forth hoping that each
time, a new cell won't starting malfunctioning. Has anyone ever
experienced this weird vibrating? What do you all think about replacing
the entire thing? Is that upwards of $1000 or so?
