Rob,

I did see the post and, as a PK user was interested. However, I just can't see HW being interested in a redesign of the PK because this hardware came from another source and was just utilised by HW, so far as I recall. I do think it's plain stupid to end up with a Keysoft System disk so much larger than the Flash disk and it's a real shame PK is so limited for space, but as I said, I don't see HW advancing this one.

Cheers and thanks for your thoughts.

Subject: [Braillenote] PK Enhancements (repost)

I'm posting this a second time because I didn't get any
responses which made me wonder if this post made it to
the list in the first place. I noticed when the Classic
BN went the mPower, there was pretty much a total overhaul.
I was wondering if there are any redesign elements for the
PK? I remember making a remark that little round holes,
which are lights, are used on the BAUM Pronto as the
Infrared port, but have no function on the PK what so ever.
I was thinking about turning that space into a standard
USB port, and if possible, also expand the on board
memory to a more reasonable size (I just think 8 MB of
internal storage is too tiny). I know you can have a
memory card in the PK but I heard that Compact Flash
cards are going out of style, so I think maybe the CF
slot should be replaced with an SD slot. You could fit
two SD slots in the same space that 1 CF slot could be
placed. Anyone have comments on this?
