Still talking about the PK here, to the best of my knowledge, there is not a way to record to a USB drive or SD card. However, you are indeed able to have your recordings go directly to a compact flash card. To do this, from the main menu, go to media center/setup options/select folder for memos. There, at the store memos in which folder prompt, you can hit the backspace key to then be able to space through the drive list and select another drive and folder, including the compact flash drive if you have a CF card in the PK at the time. Although, if you're reading the PK manual, you can just ignore the stuff about recording with an external microphone using the PK, as the PK has no means of supporting an external microphone.
