Armando, I am going to assume that you are using the PK in which case you will need to perform the upgrade by placing the bin and BrailleNote PK Upgrader on your CompactFlash card. You will want to press U for Utilities, I to Install KeySoft Extensions and select the Upgrader file and follow the on display directions.

Armando ----- Original Message ----- From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, November 26, 2007 6:34 PM Subject: [Braillenote] KeySync 3 and KeySoft 7.5 Build 27 Now Available Hello Everyone We are pleased to advise that KeySync version 3 is now available. KeySync 3 requires KeySoft 7.5 build 27 or later. If you are still running KeySoft 7.5 build 20, then please upgrade to the latest build. To download the latest KeySoft 7.5 build and KeySync 3, go to: http://www.humanware.com/en-usa/support/braillenote/keysoft_7.5_upgrade If you are upgrading from an earlier version of KeySoft 7.5 you will not need to install a new product key, as the installation will work with your existing 7.5 product key. KeySync 3 provides significant improvements to the previous KeySync making it easier to use, more robust and stable, and less prone to errors. KeyPlan in particular is now more compatible with MS Outlook. In particular the following improvements have been made: 1. KeySync is now compatible with Windows Vista. 2. The prompt presented when contacts or appointments have been independently changed on both sides is much easier to understand and if identical changes have been made on both sides, no prompt is given. 3. Likewise the prompt presented when new entries are found on both sides and the details of which are similar enough to possibly be the same person or appointment is much easier to understand. Once again if all details are identical no prompt is given. 4. If you opt to leave a decision about the synchronisation of a record until next time you synchronise because you need to look at the entries involved to make the decision, the details of the contact or appointment are written into a file called ?KeySync decision log.txt? located in the KeySync folder on the Flash Disk. 5. If an error is encountered during synchronization, synchronization is no longer abandoned but continues with the next record. 6. In KeyPlan you can no longer reschedule an occurrence of a recurring appointment to be on or before the date or the previous recurrence or on or after the date of the next recurrence. This change is for compatibility with MS Outlook. If you already have such appointments, an error will be reported and the details will be written in KeySync decision log.txt. You will need to reschedule such recurrences yourself to the correct dates. 7. A problem in KeyPlan where if the date of a yearly repeating appointment was changed recurrences past the first remained on the original date has been fixed. Note that if you are using the BrailleNote PK and a Bluetooth GPS receiver, you will have to de-activate the GPS receiver before synchronising. KeySoft 7.5 Build 27 We have also taken the opportunity to address some "annoyances" that have been reported following the KeySoft 7.5 build 20 release on 12 September. 1. When printing via Infra-red the issue of not all text being printed has been corrected. 2. On QWERTY keyboard models additions made to the User Spelling dictionary are now handled correctly. 3. The exception generated when accessing the UEB symbol table under miscellaneous maths symbols has been corrected. 4. Using UEB it is now possible to enter a question mark embedded in a word as is often used in URL's. 5. Possible Exception Errors generated when using the Space with T command in a Daisy book have been corrected. 6. General improvement to the format consistency of contextual help messages. 7. 8-dot computer braille input on a QWERTY keyboard is now supported, a feature requested by people doing foreign languages. Thanks to everyone for your patience in waiting for the KeySync release.
