Oh, I know what you mean now! Basically what
happens is that if you come across a document in
French and possibly other languages, and your
speech synthesizer is Eloquence, it will say
"dot" in English, yet the dot doesn't appear
anywhere on the Braille display. Spooky!

no, go to open that document in keyword.

you will see eloquence saying dot.

and yeah, i don't like it pronouncing punctutaion in english.

orhan.
ps, i've virtually forgot the french punctuation names, if this feature worked, i would not have to ask my teacher.----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Hallsworth" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "orhan deniz" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; "orhan deniz" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; "william lomas" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[email protected]>

Hi, what do you mean by this? I can't seem to
duplicate this using 7.5 Build 20. I did the following:
1. Created a Keyword document called les passé
compose. Before that though, I changed the input language to French.
2. Typed in some punctuation. This is where, for
some reason, BrailleNote mPower returned to
English as its input language. Is this what you mean?
Hope this helps, and thanks in advance.

no i am using 7.2 47.

damn, this braillenote has another bug.
if you create a document and the title is in french for example:
les passé compose, it would say dot with the eloquence speech synthesiser and there is no dot.

orhan.
ps, a top priority is to fix all these language issues.
this is nuts!

i really need them fixed and all the people who are studding languages.

Huh? It does on my mPower! I selected Eloquence as my speech synthesizer, created a Keyword document, changed the input language to French, typed some punctuation characters and bang! Eloquence switched to the French synthesizer and spoke punctuation in French. I'm sure these bugs are in build 28 you know, as I have build 20 on this machine.

Hi, tried it in French as well, and punctuation are spoken in French. Interesting.

hi why is it that when in french, the words space and all punctuation
when i am writing a document are spoken in english whether with
eloquence or keynote, yet the rest is read in french?
