No. The bn looks at file extensions to know what to do with the file, but it assumes that the contents of the file are formatted as indicated by the extension. Renameing an mp3 file to .doc will cause the bn to try to open it in the wordprocessor but the content is still audio, not text. To convert files you need a program on a pc.
