Carol,

Something that really helps is if you are able to give the exact steps and file that was being used when the issue occured. This should be as detailed as possible and would be even better if you could reproduce the issue after a no-key reset and a 456/JKL Reset.

This is considered standard Beta Testing procedure.

Subject: [Braillenote] SEEN THIS ONE?

Hi all,

Have you seen this one before ...

I first saw it some months back when I tried to load a .BRF file. After going through the Options and setting them as Default, I pressed E-Chord and got a message , "Reached the end of the file". There was nothing I could do to load it right then (in public) and I didn't try a reset. ... (I thought).

I solved my problem by replacing a few files from another source and they appeared fine.

Today I found I had lost one of those files so retrieved it from my husband's mPower. On loading it into the PK (as described above) I got the same error ...

I repeated the process using the mPower and - yes - it loaded fine!

After performing a C3-C4reset on the PK, I reloaded and this time it worked ...

The file is only 59KB (hardly giant size) and I'm not sure where the problem lies. I didn't think to check memory availability before performing this process and wonder just what is clogging up the works here.

Any ideas whether this is likely to be a memory issue or something else and whether it should be brought to the attention of HW staff?

All comments most welcome. Thanks.
