Peggy, I've started having exactly the same problem Thursday evening. I've done the same steps as y, resets and so on. I really don't think it's a wireless card, or router issue. Maybe somebody else will have some different ideas. For the record though, HW still has the wireless cards, we bought one earlier this year, it cost roughly including shipping. HTH Hugh $95

Subject: [Braillenote] Wireless suddenly
not working

Hi, all. I have a situation I've never
had before, and I'd like to know if
anyone has had a similar situation and
how you fixed it. I've always been
able to connect wirelessly here at home.
But this morning, and now tonight,
I can't. I insert the card (an Ambicom
card), and it's recognized. I go to
the connections menu, choose wireless,
scan for a connection, and see my
home connection, which I created a long
time ago. I hit enter and it says
connecting, and then connected. The
signal strength is around minus 29 or
minus 30, as I recall. The BN is in the
same place it always is when I do
wireless. But when I try to retrieve
e-mail, I get an error connecting to
pop server, and I get a cannot find
server message when I try to use the
web. Even though I didn't think it
would fix it, I did a reset, just to see
what would happen, and I was right: the
wireless card still doesn't work.
I'll need to have my husband check and
make sure the router and everything
is connected correctly, but I'm sure it
must be, or I wouldn't pick up my
wireless connection, would I? I wonder
if my card is failing. If so, I may
need to know where to get a new one, as
I thought some of you said they're
harder to come by.

Peggy
