Well, I've had problems with my wireless card from time to time as well. And, in my case, somehow, instead of connecting to my network, I was getting connected to another network in my apartment complex. But, doing a regular reset on the BN, as well as a reset of my wireless router, fixed the problem. I did, also, delete the non-prefered network connection that was set up when I was connected to the incorrect network.

Subject: [Braillenote] Wireless suddenly not working

Hi, all. I have a situation I've never had before, and I'd like
to know if
anyone has had a similar situation and how you fixed it. I've
always been
able to connect wirelessly here at home. But this morning, and
now tonight,
I can't. I insert the card (an Ambicom card), and it's
recognized. I go to
the connections menu, choose wireless, scan for a connection, and
see my
home connection, which I created a long time ago. I hit enter
and it says
connecting, and then connected. The signal strength is around
minus 29 or
minus 30, as I recall. The BN is in the same place it always is
when I do
wireless. But when I try to retrieve e-mail, I get an error
connecting to
pop server, and I get a cannot find server message when I try to
use the
web. Even though I didn't think it would fix it, I did a reset,
just to see
what would happen, and I was right: the wireless card still
doesn't work.
I'll need to have my husband check and make sure the router and
everything
is connected correctly, but I'm sure it must be, or I wouldn't
pick up my
wireless connection, would I? I wonder if my card is failing.
If so, I may
need to know where to get a new one, as I thought some of you
said they're
harder to come by.

Peggy
