Hi Dorie and list, Dorie, welcome to the list. Here re a few diagnostics questions: * What are the readings from the following commands from Suport Information Mode: A,C, D, J, P, S, T and V? To get to Suport Information Mode, press SPACE with O/FN+O on QT, then press SPACE with I/READ+I on QT. * How long have you had your unit? Now, for Derek's problem: There was a press release about the older batteries - those that has capacity of 1800 Ma. HumanWare later replaced these batteries with the newer ones with the lesser capacity (1650 Mah) but with better performance. I think it is time for the motherboard upgrade - tell HW to look at the battery capacity and hardware version and ask them if they can replace RVC2 with RVC6S motherboard. That should solve the battery problem (at least from hardware point of view). Or, try Service Reset to see if the battery monitor chip detects the new battery properties. Cheers, Joseph

I am a new member to this list. My name is Dorie Mates. I just purchased a Voicenote and I, too, am getting the battery gauge problem. I plan to let the battery run down completely and then recharge it. I hope that will work. Anymore suggestions, please let me know. I am not very technically savé, so please be patient with me.
