When I first got my bn I used elequence all the time then I
switched to keynote gold. It does use less memory then elequence
so I use keynote gold now for most things. I will sometimes
switch back to elequence to read books or something like that. I
like elequence better in the respect that it is I think a little
louder and clearer but keynote responds better.

I haven't noticed any difference with speech for the most part,
and and as
for power when you have the unit it says in the quick start to
charge for
two hours before using it. I'd let it charge for at least 20
minutes, then
you can use it with the AC still connected, but let it get a full
charge
before unplugging it.

My name is Jamie Pauls. Some of you may recognize me as the

Main Menu

I am about to become the proud owner of a BrailleNote BT 32 and
I have a
few
questions.
First let me state that I have used a Pac Mate QX 40 for five
and a half
years. When it became obvious that the old beast I had been
using for so
long was about on its last legs, I decided after quite a bit of
research
to
acquire a BrailleNote. I have scoured the user guide and
listened to about
every presentation I could find on the Internet relating to the
unit. I
feel
that I know about as much as I can know without actually putting
my hands
on
the thing and playing with it. With that out of the way, here
are my
questions:
1. Regarding the use of KeyNote or Eloquence, is there a
noticeable
difference in responsiveness between the two synthesizers on the
unit? I
am
certainly more familiar with Eloquence, but will switch to
KeyNote in a
heartbeat if it will improve my productivity with the notetaker.
2. When I receive my new BrailleNote, what is the liklihood that
the
battery
will have any charge at all? Should I just plug it into the wall
as soon
as
I receive it or will it most likely have some charge when I get
it?
