I Think this is a grate idea. Another example: Your alarm system on your home if you have one, would be perfect if you are approaching your house using a GPS receiver. I'm always trying to find my keys to mess with my blog to unarm my alarm system. What would be the distance on the infrared port to the object you would want to control?
