There was a tip provided during the KeySoft 8.0 presentation, which may benefit many who are trying to access Word files on the BrailleNote. This is a work-around that has undergone rigorous testing from Greg Stilson and many others. This is an item that is to be included in the FAQ at a later point but I thought I will just go ahead and write it up here: Open the document on the PC. Save it as a RTF file, with an extension of .RTF. Alter the document in some form to reset the RTF tags. (insert/remove return at the end of document was suggested) Save document Now preview/open and do what you wish with this document on the BrailleNote.
HumanWare indicates that this is a work-around and by no means are they planning on stopping the support of newer files here.
