Etexts can be created in many ways. There is Microsoft's program. I have been told that this program is inaccessible to screen readers. Another program is Kindle. Kindle might be some sort of wireless system, but I have been told this program is inaccessible to screen readers. Then there's ASCII text, which will work on anything. Most of these books are older public-domain books. Then there's pdf, which will only work with a PC running the Adobe program. However, there is software on the web which will convert pdf to word. It's free, so you could google for it and download it to try out.
