I have done something similar already; I got the sector error once while backing up, but restoring a backup onto a nearly empty flash disk went fine. I am really not sure what to do about this, but I hate to send in my unit.

Have a great day,
Alex

Hi Alex,

I'm beginning to wonder whether your flash disk has been damaged
in
the same way that mine once was when I received my mPower last
year.

Please try copying a continuous stream of files to your flash
disk--possibly using your computer--and see what happens. If an
error
is given stating that your flash disk is full, and a SPACE with I
when
pointed to the flash disk reveals 0 KB free, then you're in good
shape. If, however, another error such as "the system cannot
find the
sector requested" is given, this is NOT a good thing and I would
recommend sending your unit in for service. It means that there
are
portions of your flash disk that aren't working properly, and so
data
will get corrupted whenever the BrailleNote tries to use those
portions.

Cheers,

Grant

I have tried that, I think I have tried everything; starting
from
scratch, all the resets, restoring from a backup, even deleting
my entire flash disk... It still happens!! All this since build
29 and, come to think of it, since a little after I started
using
the Ambicom G wifi card...

Have a great day,
Alex

Hi Alex:
I don't know if this will work for you. I wound up having the
same problem. I backed up my Keymail folder, then deleted it.
Then, after restoring it back, my "in-box" was back. I'm not
sure what the glitch is. I didn't notice some of this until
build 31, which shouldn't have anything to do with anything,
(smile).

Have a blessed day,
Rhonda Stogner

Hi all,
Shocking as it is, I have found a problem in keymail... AGAIN!!
I usually have many messages in my inbox, but now I have none,
because my bn corrupted the database for the fifth time in four
months. I have found that when the inbox is empty, it does not
show up as the default folder to open. When it has a message in
it, you can check email by pressing, from the main menu, e, r,
enter, y, enter, enter. Now, I have to stop to select the inbox,
even though it was the last folder I read from. Why is a folder
being default, especially the inbox, dependent on whether it is
empty? If it is empty, it won't be for long; that is the whole
point of reading from it.

Have a great day,
Alex
