Paul and all, As for the disappearing SD card, I don't leave cards in my VN for precisely that reason and the fact that I don't believe that practice is recommended anyway. Cards also drain the battery much faster than using the unit without such cards. However, the use of such cards cannot and never will be avoided as it is a necessary part of what one does with a PDA. Add thumb drives to the mix as well.
As for SD cards, I personally don't use them because of the fact they are so small that they can get lost rather easily. I've already lost one for my cell phone. Imagine what I could do with one for my VN and it wouldn't take long for it to happen either, believe me.
