Hi Alex and list,
I see where people are going: they want redundancy - a ready, easy-to-access
backup copy in case of a data loss on the internal Flash (is that right?).
I'll definitely take advantage of the internal Flash myself - but as a
backup and means of transfer, I usually carry a USB thumb drive just in
case.
I am doing research on Bluetooth profiles...

Yes you can, but a reader is a pain to carry around if you are used to
having your cf card in your bn's case. However, I cannot stress this
point enough: the Apex has 8gb of internal storage, enough for
hundreds of songs or tens of GPS maps with no need for a cf card at
all.
