Hi,
Somewhat hard to explain... But I'll try my best to break it down for you:
When you delete everything from Flash, some folders return while all your
added files and folders will be gone. Flash is part of so-called ROM image,
a storage area where files and folders for a device is stored and cannot
"easily" be erased (the exception is when upgrading KeySoft). So, whenever
you delete a folder that came with your BrailleNote, when the BN resets, it
reloads that folder from ROM.
As for factory reset, I think it is meant to ensure that any personal data
is not there (for obvious reasons).
Hope it is simple enough...
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: RE: [Braillenote] Complete factory reset

If I individually deleted things on my Flash Disk, would they be
truly gone? If I were to send my BrailleNote in and wanted to
take personal information off of the flash disk, could I just
transfer it to my SD card? Why is it necessary to do a factory
reset?

Linda
