Many thanks to those who pointed out the file protection which
occurs when copying databases. Yes, I had spotted that.
Unfortunately, though one can "un-protect the appropriate
database file", it appears to re-protect itself and thus prevents
further copying unless one goes through the procedure every time.
not very satisfactory. However, I am assured that it is being
looked into.
