Alex, Correction! Their is a shorter way to insert a day in to a
document. It is enter with i and it will take you to the insert
menu. From their you can choose what you want. if a date or
whatever choose date and follow the prompts. Your finished!

You cannot do this directly in a document. However, here is how
to get
around the lack of an arbitrary date selection:
1. Open keyplan, then press o for open planner.
2. Move to the date you want to insert into your document in the
usual way.
3. Press enter to enter the planner at that date.
4. Press space-b to enter the block commands menu.
5. Press space-c. The bn will say "sentence marked".
6. Now press c to copy the block to the clipboard.
7. Exit the planner, return to your document, and paste the
clipboard.
The date should be inserted, just as it was shown in the planner.
If
you had an appointment on that date it may be copied as well, but
I am
not sure.
