There is a way to get a date automatically inserted into the
printed version of a document. However, there is a drawback to
this. Each time you open the document to read at a later date,
you cannot then read the date on which you printed it. There is
a danger that you will lose the date in your stored version of
the document if you perform a key press whilst reading it, so now
I have reverted to manually typing the date into letters, so I
have a permanent record.
