Thanks for the introduction.  I am 57, single, and fortunate to
have an Apex which replaced my Empower earlier this year.

Sorry to year you cannot afford to get your wife's used VoiceNote
repaired.  Unfortunately most Voc Rehab programs do not cover
maintenance on what they buy for you.

Yes, the cost of current technology is expensive and older stuff
will often work well for some people.  The problem with really
old stuff like Windows 3.1 is it is no longer supported by its
makers and you cannot use present--day programs with it.  But if
it meets your needs that is great.

Have you considered approaching your local Lions Club for help
getting the VoiceNote repaired?  Know they will help with the
[purchase of technology, not sure if they are into maintaining
it.
